The Lighthouse Tirrases is a fringe community on the edge of San Jose, Costa Rica built largely on what was once a garbage dump. There, tens of thousands of Nicaraguan refugee's live in devastating poverty.
The lighthouse started as a vision to be a Christian school teaching children and adults the love and saving grace of Jesus Christ. Over the course of time, the vision had grown to be a place to host health clinics, adult education and parenting classes, feed the hungry and clothe the naked. It is a light to the community and a beacon of hope to all. Total cost of the Lighthouse project: $200,000 [Building Complete] |

Over the past two years, phased construction brought the vision to a reality and now the Lighthouse is a reality and is in use. The building is just the first step. True life change continues as the Lighthouse becomes a base for outreach to this community. Just because the building has been build by the grace of God, doesn't mean we are done. |
